About Me

I started researching family history when I went to The Homestead National Monument for the first time with adults. (I had taken kids there many times.) The land records and hard times of those who homesteaded their farms got me wondering who in my family did homestead.
Since then I have found many families who homesteaded and even one family who bought and sold lots of land and has a town named after him.
