These photos were either taken by my grandfather, James Henry Hysaw, my uncle Jimmy Lee Hysaw, or other members of my family. The rest were sent to me by subscribers to the Hisaw Family Newsletter over many years. They represent all branches of the Hysaw, Hisaw, Highsaw, Hyso family in America. The front cover shows the children of Lee and Elnora Mofield Hysaw near Axtell, Texas. Lady with the glasses is a spouse.
Ancestors of Fred Montgomery of Northport, Alabama, who traveled all over his area of Alabama researching his Hysaws in the 1980s.
Henry Willis Hyso was Glendora Hyso Dowell's grandfather. She had many fond memories of growing up knowing her grandfather.
This family has many descendants now in Missouri.
Sadly, Johnny died young in 1927. He was the child of Lee and Elnora Mofield Hysaw of Axtell, Texas.
James Carter Highsaw's descendants were some of the best educated men of their time.
Pauline was a beautiful baby.
Jeremiah Hysaw Earnest traveled far and led a life of adventure.
Pauline and Jimmy Lee were the children of James Henry and Ruth Burk Hysaw. Pauline was my mother.
